About Greta
I was born in Görlitz in 1999 and grew up in this easternmost town of Germany. As a child, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents in the countryside, who familiarized me with the local nature from an early age. Basically, I started drawing - mainly horses - as soon as I could hold a pencil: I still remember carefree summer days painting barefoot under the great lime tree in my grandparents' gardens. There, I not only learnt to appreciate nature, but also to observe its inhabitants closely ...
This first decade of my life proved to be so formative that I decided to become a scientist and began studying Physics in Dresden in 2019. However, creating art remained a part of me, and I was and still am inspired by the living world.

Today, I live in Konstanz and pursue my Master's, specializing in Complex Systems Physics and Biophysics, aspiring to a scientific career on the edge between biology and physics, or »describing the living world theoretically«.
My art becomes more and more political, for my deeply felt connection with nature drives me towards protecting what I've always loved. I view creating art as a chance to make people see the fragile beauty of our planet and thus as a way of communicating scientific findings and their importance, aiming for giving nature a voice in increasingly uncertain times.
